Several models of Oce VarioStream are going away

The flash fusion printers in the VarioStream product line from Oce have a very short life expectancy.  All of the 7100 line have been announced dates for End-of-Support. The VS7120 and VS7160 reach support's end in 2019. The VS7110 and VS7170 meet their demise in the year 2021.

What is the importance of this? Well, this is the end of the line for 'flash fusion' laser printers from Oce. This technology is important to users that rely on production printers like these to generate large numbers of labels for their business. Other print technology like 'heat/pressure fusion' are not nearly as kind and reliable on pressure-sensitive-labels (PSL). Once a user has experience on the affordable flash fusing printers, moving to a larger, power-thirsty, hotter and more expensive continuous forms unit like the Oce VS4120 is not desirable.

The good news is there is a proven alternative with the requisite IPDS language support.

We have more information about this product withdrawal and our recommendation for replacing these Oce printers. Please visit Warren's new web page at: http://chooseglmgroup.com/oce-variostream-7100-replacement/
